Necklace Length Buying Tips Based on Height, Figure, and Face Shape

Here are some of the useful necklace tips you can use in order to choose the best necklace fit before you decide to buy a necklace for personal use or as a gift to your love ones.

Tip1: If you have a large breast, you can choose necklaces that are more than 55cm in length. It will be uncomfortable if you try to choose longer than this length.
Tip2:If you are flat chested, long thin chains will look nice on you.
Tip3:If you are below 160cm in height, collar or princess length necklaces look best. V-Shape styles or Matinee necklace length will make you look taller.
Tip4:If you are from 160cm to 170cm, you can wear necklaces of any length.
Tip5:If you have full figured body, do not wear necklaces that lay on the breast line. Again, you will not make you feel good.
Tip6:If you are over 170cm in height, you can wear longer necklaces any length.
Tip7:If you have an oval face, you gain flexibility in choosing a necklace because an oval face shape suits any necklace lengths.
Tip8:If you have a round face, an Opera necklace length will be much better.
Tip9:Heart shaped face balances with choker necklaces because they soften and diminish the sharp angle of your chin.

Tip10:Rectangular and oblong face shapes are great for choker necklaces with higher length because they reduce the length of the face.

Earrings to Suit Your Face Shape

Earrings are one of the most versatile accessories to add to your wardrobe and depending on the shape of your face; the right pair can flatter and define your face. The trick is, first you have to figure out what your face shape is. Generally there are four categories, round, oval, heart-shaped and square.

In general earring shapes that are opposite of your face shape look the best for example:

Round: long, slim, oval hoops and drop earrings look best to elongate your face and create an illusion of slimmer cheekbones.
Oval: the most versatile face shape, oval face shapes can wear studs, chandelier, simple or chunky pieces.
Heart-Shaped: the best pieces are rounded studs and earrings that are narrow up top and wider at the bottom, such as chandelier hoop earrings.
Square: Your best bet is hoop earrings, rounded studs and chandelier hoops. Rounded earrings soften a square jaw line.

Determining Your Ring Size

The correct size depends, not just on the finger, but also on the ring. A wide ring will probably need to be a slightly larger size than a narrow ring. Finger size varies, even over the course of a few days: narrower in cold weather and wider in hot. It can also be affected by health. Like blood pressure readings, the most accurate result is found by taking a series of readings spaced over days and time of day.

The following ways of determining size are listed in descending order of reliability.
1. Measure an existing ring that fits well. This method is more accurate if the width of the hoop of the new ring resembles that of the old.
2. Measure by wrapping a very narrow, somewhat stiff strip of paper around the finger. A better alternative is a cable tie, because you can try slipping it on and off, which you can't do with the paper.
Gauges that you download from the internet and print out can be very misleading. Between the net and the printer output tray are many points at which the computer (and/or printer) may be reducing or enlarging the image.
